Dear Readers,
This year our team of editors worked hard to revive the Mire. With a very successful opening, we were overjoyed and hopeful for the reach our magazine might achieve. However, second semester with a much lower number of submissions, we received a reality check on the lack of focus on creative writing in high school. We hope that next year, a new team of editors to replace the ones who graduated will continue to remind this school of the importance of appreciation for writing and art. And we dream that the Mire will continue to grow in our absence.
